A continuing body of work exploring suspension, movement, layered atmosphere, and organic flow.
The Drift Series begins with sculptural groundwork built directly onto the canvas using gesso and mixed media. From there, fluid gestures and veils of color are developed intuitively, allowing each piece to hold motion, softness, and depth at once. The series is unified by a sense of quiet energy — forms that feel in transition, weightless, and emotionally atmospheric.
About the Artist
Marlee With Double E is a contemporary abstract painter based in South Florida. Her work explores movement, texture, and layered color through sculptural surfaces and gestural mark-making.
Working intuitively, she builds each painting through physical texture before introducing color, creating compositions that feel both organic and luminous. The resulting work invites viewers into subtle shifts of motion, depth, and atmosphere.
